Our History

The Mountain Sun tradition began over 25 years ago in the small town of Dolores, Colorado with the mission of providing America's best tasting juices from wholesome, premium fruits. That tradition has continued through a succession of acquisitions.

In 2001, Walnut Acres known for its tempting, organic juice varieties with unique flavor combinations, bought Mountain Sun. The two brands were merged for a short time under the Walnut Acres name, until 2003 when both brands were purchased by The Hain Celestial Group, the nation's leading manufacturer of natural and organic specialty foods.

The Hain Celestial Group realized the distinct qualities of the two brands and once again began to market them separately. The varieties offered by Mountain Sun are pure and natural with functional health benefits, while Walnut Acres varieties are organic, great tasting juices good for the whole family. Both brands are made from delicious, high quality, tree ripened fruit and produced with hand quality care and craftsmanship.
